Coalition: A New Constitutional Court Judge Should be Elected through an Inclusive Process
On July 26, 2021, the term of Tamaz Tsabutashvili, a Constitutional Court judge, will expire. The President of Georgia must appoint a new member of the Court. According to the law, the new judge must be appointed from June 26 to July 16.

BELARUSIAN AUTHORITIES MUST RELEASE RAMAN PRATASEVICH IMMEDIATELY
We, the undersigned organisations, members of the Civic Solidarity Platform, are appalled by the illegal airplane diversion by the Belarusian authorities resulting in the arbitrary arrest of Raman Pratasevich, the Belarusian blogger and journalist, and his companion Sofia Sapega. The use of a military airplane armed with missiles to force the plane to change the route and land causes our particular concern.

Appeal of Human Rights Center regarding Timely Registration of Plots of Land of Senior Citizens
Human Rights Center carries on the project “Mitigation of Effects of the Pandemic for Elderly Citizens.” Volunteers in Gori, Kareli, Khashuri and Kaspi municipalities inquired 200 elderly person through direct visits who have named as one of the most unresolved problems the registration of titles on the plots of land. Despite the launch by the State of the pilot project of land registration from 2016, many households in the region were still not able to register their plots of land.

Statement of Human Rights Center: justice shall protect women against all forms of violence
HRC carries on protecting the interests of the head of news service of Trialeti TV Company, Lela Lobjanidze, who became a victim of a death threat from an MIA employee and his family members. The judgment rendered on April 6 to release the accused persons from a measure of restraint was possibly due to their employment status and unlawful protectionism, because of which the affected woman up to the date is afraid of moving freely and of the threat that would be carried out by the accused persons.

Statement by Human Rights Center regarding the Unlawful Restriction of Freedom of Assembly in the Context of the Spread of the New Coronavirus
Human Rights Center (HRC) monitors the steps taken by the State to combat the coronavirus pandemic. The area of interest of HRC is the actions taken by the state to help the citizens affected by the coronavirus, as well as the restrictions introduced for the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus. Restrictions against coronavirus impacted different categories of fundamental rights. One of the areas of observation of HRC is the restrictions that hinder the full realization of civil rights and freedoms.
